Love Island stars Rebecca Gormley and Biggs Chris have sadly split after over a year together.
Rebecca, 23, confirmed the break up in an Instagram Q&A after fans speculated something had happened, as the two hadn’t appeared on social media together for a while.
Confirming their suspicions, the model told her 336,000 followers: ‘Everyone is asking this question and the reason why I haven’t told you any sooner is that I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing.
‘And it is the best thing for us so yeah, we have broke up.’
Following the devastating news, Biggs partied with pals in Ibiza before returning to Glasgow, while Rebecca stayed in Newcastle.
The split comes just weeks after Biggs, 29, said he ‘definitely’ wanted to marry Rebecca.

Their romance also appeared stronger than ever this summer, with Rebecca sharing a date night snap captioned: ‘Everyday my love for you gets stronger (sic)’
The two have also been very open over the past year about seeing a future together.
In April, car repair specialist Biggs told The Sun he was building their dream home: ‘Rebecca will be moving in soon. I’m really excited. She’s so close to her mum, but said she would move up to Scotland with me.’

Rebecca also spoke in October about wanting a family, sharing a stunning poolside pic and quashing pregnancy rumours, she said: ‘Me and Biggs speak about our own little family a lot. There is so much we wanna do before having a baba and settling.’
The reality stars appeared on the show’s first winter series in January 2020, however, they didn’t actually couple up until the show ended.
Winners of Winter Love Island Paige Turley and Finn Tapp are still going strong, as are Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman.
Lucie Dolan and Luke Mabbott are also still very much in love after meeting outside the villa, as are Callum Jones and Molly Smith.
Love Island 2021 concluded on Monday, with Liam Reardon and Millie Court being crowned with 42.02% of the public vote. The couple took home the £50,000 prize as Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran came runners up.
Love Island is available to stream on ITV Hub.
