Ruth Langsford was left in tears of laughter on today’s This Morning when Eamonn Holmes showed her a photo that made her lose her composure completely.
While Ruth and Eamonn are known for their playful husband-and-wife banter on the ITV programme, on Wednesday’s show, the couple left viewers perplexed by an inside joke.
Following a segment providing viewers with information on a competition they could enter, the camera cut back to Ruth and Eamonn in the studio, with Ruth in hysterics as she told Eamonn to ‘stop showing’ her something on his phone.
‘What?’ Eamonn replied, feigning ignorance, to which Ruth responded: ‘You know what!’ as she continued to cry with laughter.
Ruth explained that a viewer sent in a picture of Eamonn telling viewers: ‘Someone sent a picture of Eamonn and if you zoom in on his neck…’
However, Eamonn stopped her before she could give any more details of the image, muttering: ‘We’re not doing that.’

As Ruth wiped her tears away, she told fans that she wished she could tell them why the photo was so hilarious, saying that it was an ‘in-joke’.
‘Sometimes do you not embarrass yourself?’ Eamonn asked her, as Ruth remarked that her uncontrollable reaction was down to her ‘smutty sense of humour’.
Several This Morning viewers were desperate to find out why the picture was so funny, with one saying: ‘I want to see the pic Eamonn flashed Ruth’s way to make her lose it so hard.’
‘I need to see that picture now,’ another person tweeted.
Someone else remarked that they had ‘never seen Ruth totally losing it before’.
‘Ruth Langsford is really cracking me up this morning,’ another Twitter user commented.

From Ruth and Eamonn’s reactions, it seems as though the truth behind the photo is going to remain under wraps.
Nonetheless, maybe the couple could shed further light on the picture on social media later on? Here’s hoping!
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
