Halo: Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Series X Console Stock Already Hijacked by Scalpers

The much-awaited Gamescom 2021 featured Microsoft dropping some exciting Halo Infinite news.

Microsoft announced that a limited edition Xbox Series X console is in the works. We could see it launch ahead of the December 8 schedule of Halo Infinite.

Microsoft stated in a press release that the limited console to be launched is to commemorate the 20th anniversary from the first Halo’s release. The console’s design looks really elegant with dark metallic paneling with an iridium gold accent, inspired by the Halo Universe, priced at 479.99 Pounds/$549.99.

The console will launch on November 15, and Halo launched back in 2001.

Interestingly, a striking development to this story has arisen as the consoles being sold out in most locations already. The scalpers are taking the best advantage of this on eBay.

The console has already become out of stock in UK markets. This is unusual given the demand Xbox Series X has generated since its launch in November 2020, but a search for the Halo Infinite Limited Edition console on eBay has resulted in scalpers reselling for double the suggested retail price.

Most of the eBay listings are priced for around $1000- which is double the Retail Price. After garnering 10 bids, the highest-priced listing is now $2550.

This does not surprise us, as scalpers are selling these consoles’ base units for an upscale price. Earlier, scalpers also resold the Steam Deck on eBay for a higher Retail price until eBay removed the listings from the site.
