Former UFC Champion Michael Bisping Shares Exciting News- Set to Continue His Role as Commentator with the UFC

Former middleweight champion Michael Bisping has signed a four-year contract with the UFC as a commentator. One of the most beloved fighters to have fought in the UFC, Michael Bisping has always had an outspoken and witty personality. And although these attributes mattered little inside the cage, they certainly translate well enough to his new profession of commentating.

Bisping chose to hang his gloves up back in 2017 after a devastating knockout loss against then surging middleweight Kelvin Gastelum. This decision couldn’t have come at a better time considering his terrible eye injury and an apparent decline in skill.

While many fighters have a tough time moving on from fighting, Michael Bisping has had one of the most seamless transitions to his most recent endeavor. At first, Bisping began working as a desk analyst with the UFC soon after his retirement. Thanks to his vast knowledge of the sport, Bisping brings a fresh perspective to analyzing fights.

Recently, Bisping began commentating cage side, and his style of delivery and insight has grown on the fans in a short period of time. Perhaps that is why UFC has signed the veteran to a four-year deal. The 42-year-old recently took to Twitter to share the news, making the following statement.

With a surge in the number of events held by the UFC, fans will now regularly get to hear Michael Bisping, cage side, as the veteran works towards excelling at his post-fighting career.

Will we ever see Michael Bisping compete in a boxing event?

Although Michael Bisping has been away from fighting for three years now, ‘The Count’ is still in shape and regularly posts videos going through hard workout sessions in the gym.

Recently, Dillon Danis took to Twitter to call out the former champion to a boxing fight. This coupled with Darren Till’s mysterious tweet regarding Bisping making a come back got the fans riled up.

However, with news of his new deal with the UFC, it is safe to assume we won’t be seeing Michael Bisping participating in a boxing bout any time soon.
