What Is Cristiano Ronaldo Market Value After Manchester United Move?

The 2021 transfer window has been one of the craziest in recent history. Be it Argentine maestro Lionel Messi joining PSG or the likes of Kylian Mbappe potential leaving, this window has been action packed. One of the biggest names in the rumor mill was that of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo who spent his last three seasons with the Italian giants Juventus had a decent enough time in the Turin. While he did lose a step or two in his game, his goal scoring prowess remained phenomenal as he scored 101 goals in 134 matches he played in.

While Ronaldo arguably flourished and showed how lethal of a striker he was, Juventus had a rough three years. Despite winning two titles in three years why was Juve’s couldn’t fulfill their initial expectations to win the Champions League. Given the lack of success, Ronaldo ultimately decided to leave the club.

Market value of Cristiano Ronaldo revealed

Initially, the destination seemed clear, the blue half of Manchester. With City almost ready to pull the trigger, CR7 was set to feature in a Pep Guardiola team. But former club Manchester United came out of nowhere and swooped in the player.

Given how many twists and turns this deal saw, Ronaldo’s move to United was one of the biggest transfers in recent history. While his transfer is somewhat around the region of 23 million including bonuses, transfermarkt recent released CR7’s market value.

While veteran players generally drop down to value of a few million dollars at 36-year-old, Ronaldo is an anomaly. Still pretty much at the top of his game chipping in with goals, Ronaldo is valued at a whooping 45 million.

This certainly speaks volumes about the Portuguese and his commitment to the beautiful game. While the United side last season was solid defensively, one thing they lacked last season was goals.

The Red Devils will hope that CR7 can help them fix that. Starting off as a winger, Ronaldo has transformed himself into a poacher, a proper number 9. Given how he hit the ground running pretty much in every club he has played for, expect the 5-time Ballon D’or to make an instant impact.
