Camila Cabello insists that ‘nightmare fuel’ Cinderella flash mob with James Corden was ‘really fun’

Whatever we thought would come from our Bank Holiday weekend, James Corden thrusting in a mouse costume was not up there.
The internet has united in horror at the video of the cast of Cinderella halting traffic in Los Angeles, which involved James, 43, rather aggressively thrusting his hips in the air while singing Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud.
In a stunt that would be bound to ruin your commute, James led a pack of stars as they happily danced in full costume and interacted with drivers who were stationary due to the blockage.
The Gavin and Stacey star was joined by Camila Cabello, who wore a pink ballgown, Billy Porter and Idina Menzel, who danced around at an intersection while singing along to the track.
The flash mob was in promotion of the upcoming film Cinderella, which stars Camila as the titular princess, James as a mouse that turns into a footman, Billy as the Fairy Godparent and Idina as Cinderella’s stepmother Vivian.
We thought flash mobs had been consigned to the ‘10s, so people were pretty troubled by the clip, which went viral on Twitter over the weekend.
Some referred to the video as ‘nightmare fuel’, while others wondered what would happen if the flash mob occurred while you were trying to get to the hospital.
Despite the backlash, Camila has insisted that the flash mob was ‘really fun’.
The 24-year-old told Pedestrian: ‘It was really fun! It was us and Billy Porter and James Corden, and we basically did it during the red lights. Yeah, it was fun.’
Idina, 50, did admit that it was a bit of a health hazard, though – although not in the way we were expecting.
The Frozen star said: ‘It was really hot. I burned myself getting up on the car. The metal [of the car] was very hot.’

The new version of Cinderella is a modern take on the classic tale, packed with contemporary tunes like Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation, Queen’s Somebody To Love and Ed Sheeran’s Perfect.

As well as James, the film boasts a host of British talent, including comedians James Acaster and Romesh Ranganathan, who also play mice turned footmen, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Charlotte Spencer, Tallulah Greive and Beverley Knight.
Meanwhile, James Bond himself Pierce Brosnan plays King Rowan in the film.
Cinderella is out on September 3 on Amazon Prime Video.
