Evan Rachel Wood has subtly called out her ex Marilyn Manson, after the rocker’s appearance at Kanye West’s Donda listening party last week.

Manson, 52, made a shock appearance on stage with Kanye on Thursday night, with it later being confirmed that his voice features on the rapper’s new album Donda.

Evan, 33, has accused her former fiance of physical, sexual and emotional abuse – allegations Manson, real name Brian Warner, has denied – and seemed to call his work with Kanye a ‘slap in the face’.

The Westworld actress shared a video of her performance with her musical partner Zane Carney, and wrote: ‘For my fellow survivors who got slapped in the face this week. I love you. Don’t give up.’

While at the Bourbon Room in Los Angeles, Evan sang a rendition of the New Radicals song You Get What You Give, saying: ‘I’ve been saving this but it feels like an appropriate time.’

When she reached the lyrics ‘Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson, Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson’, Evan raised her middle finger at the mention of her ex’s name.

Rumer Willis was among those who praised her performance, commenting: ‘You are a powerhouse warrior woman my sweet friend’, while Bill & Ted star Alex Winter left a heart emoji.

Evan had previously shared an article about Manson being featured on Donda, after a rep for The Dope Show singer said: ‘Marilyn Manson’s voice is featured on Donda, and he will continue to conceptually collaborate with Ye on the Donda project.’

She wrote on her Instagram stories: ‘Triggered, re-traumatised and unsafe.’

Evan’s relationship with Manson was made public in 2007, and after a seven-month engagement, they split in 2010.

Earlier this year, she alleged that she was ‘brainwashed’ and ‘groomed’ by Manson, writing on Instagram: ‘He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.

‘I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.

‘I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.’

The actress had previously told the House Judiciary Subcommittee about the alleged abuse she suffered from an unnamed former partner, saying: ‘My experience with domestic violence was this: Toxic mental, physical and sexual abuse which started slow but escalated over time, including threats against my life, severe gaslighting and brainwashing, waking up to the man that claimed to love me raping what he believed to be my unconscious body.’

Manson denied the allegations, saying: ‘Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.

‘My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.’

Manson currently faces four lawsuits from women who allege they were abused by the star, including Game Of Thrones actress Esme Bianco, who is suing for sexual assault and sexual battery.

The singer denies the allegations.
