On the other hand, World no.17 Angelique Kerber faced world no.51 Dayana Yastremska in a top-level game of tennis. The battle ended in an intense three-setter where Angelique lost the first set due to the outstanding passion shown by her opponent. Furthermore, despite being down in the last set, she fought back to win the match in the tiebreaker. Final score 3-6,6-4,7-6(7-3).
The heated battle between Kerber and Dayana took off in an exciting way. Both the players started their service games strong. However, Dayana got the better of Angelique as she won the first set 6-3. Kerber could not hold her service games because of Yastremska’s attacking game.

As Angelique Kerber is not someone who gives up easily, she fought back with all her strength to win the second set. She broke Yastremska’s serve, put herself back in the game, and claimed the second set 6-4.
The final set had both the players bring their A-games to the court. Both the players had no intention to give up. Although Dayana took the upper hand and lead 5-3, Kerber fought back to reach the tie-break.
Angelique Kerber will now play her next match the day after tomorrow. Her opponent is yet to be decided. Whoever it is, they should surely watch out for her passion and the will to not give up.
