Dog crashes weatherman’s report and goes viral as WFH problems reach hysterical new heights

Working from home can be a challenge at the best of times – especially if you’re a weatherman delivering a report, only to have your dog completely steal the limelight.

A hilarious clip has gone viral showing a meteorologist struggling to do his job after a fluffy distraction wandered into his shot live on air.

Weatherman Anthony Farnell was midway through delivering an update about the local conditions in Toronto, Canada, when his goldendoodle called Storm the Weather Dog made an unexpected appearance.

It couldn’t have come during a more sensitive moment, either, as Anthony was telling Ontarians about the dangers posed by Hurricane Ida and preparing viewers for the weather over the weekend.

Thankfully, he managed to soldier through as Storm stood and demanded attention, and even threw the dog a treat off camera.

The video has racked up thousands of views online, with Storm becoming an overnight sensation on social media.

Global News later shared a video of the hilarious moment, writing: ‘Storm invaded the set in the middle of Anthony’s weather report, demanding treats even as Farnell was explaining to Ontarians what weather they would be facing that weekend, and discussed the dangers posed by Hurricane Ida further south.’

They added: ‘Both consumate professionals, Anthony finished his segment without a hitch while Storm sated his hunger (and mugged a bit for the camera)…all in a day’s work!’

It’s not the first time viewers have seen Storm on their screens, as she has turned up from time to time on news reports for the past 10 years.

He also stole the limelight from anchor Leslie Roberts during a live report from the Global News station back in 2012.

We hope it won’t be long until this adorable pooch pops up and brightens our day again.
