Servers went down this morning at 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am BST / 10am CEST in preparation for the update.

Downtime lasted around three hours, but the game is back up and running so if you’ve been itching to dive back in, you can.

Update 17.50 is the last update before Fortnite season 7 comes to a close, so we’re expecting a ton of new content to mark the occasion.

We’re expecting some alien-themed goodness as hinted by the Fortnite service updates Twitter account.

While dataminers have yet to sift through the files to find out what’s in store, Fortnite leakers and official teasers have thrown a few clues our way.

We need to talk about Kevin

Epic Games CCO, Donald Mustard, tweeted a not-so-subtle hint that players would see the return of the Kevin the Cube before the season is out.

For those who need a refresher, Kevin the Cube debuted in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5.

He rolled his way around the island causing havoc and we’ve not seem him since we entered Chapter 2.

He was spotted during the in-game Ariana Grande concert, and Mustard’s tweet seems to seal the deal.

Corn Free

After the abduction of Coral Castle, and Slurpy Swamp, it’s likely that Corny Complex is next on the list of locations to be beamed up.

The Imagined Order’s secret base is underneath the complex, so chances are it’s the next target.
