“I Can’t Be Mad” – Anthony Taylor Opens Up on Meeting Tommy Fury After Their Fight

The last Sunday night proved to be a true entertainer for boxing lovers around the globe. The highly debatable Jake Paul took on the former UFC bigwig, Tyron Woodley, in an 8-round fight. This fight definitely kept the fans intrigued, but alongside this, there were umpteen fights on the undercard that made the entire event decorative. One such bout on this card was between Tommy Fury and Anthony Taylor.

In a buildup to the fight, both Taylor and Fury rolled out some scathing words for each other. They rightly gathered the eyeballs for their contest and fans were in for witnessing a T/KO win from either of the two.

However, this four-round fight went the distance and both the fighters kept their attacks on till the last gong. But Fury edged over his nemesis in this clash and came out to bag a sublime win. Post the fight, he and Taylor met each other at the airport.

In an exclusive conversation with Es News, Taylor opened up on what happened between the two then.

He said, “Oh man, experience was amazing man like the atmosphere of the people, you know, I think I’m probably the first fighter ever in boxing history to go up from 145 all the way down to cruiserweight, we don’t make it history like that but, you know, having to share the ring with Tommy was an amazing experience”

“I can’t be mad, but at the end of the day, I got the opportunity to perform in front of millions,” he added.

Did Tommy Fury bag his greatest career win against Anthony Taylor?

Fury retained his undefeated stint alongside pressing his foe Taylor throughout the fight. Yet, this wasn’t his best bout, for obvious reasons.

‘TNT’ has given some real iconic performances in his short yet attractive boxing run. But this fight was certainly not his best appearance, as Fury failed to demolish Taylor with his power.

However, he still is in the inception years of the sport and the young gun has a long pathway to trace.
