Three players who have ruled the tennis circuit are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Together, these three athletes have been instrumental in taking the sport forward. To have these three supreme athletes compete in the same era has been a blessing to mankind. 

As these three athletes are the superstars of our sport, we take a look at who has the largest fan following on social media. On Instagram, Roger Federer has 8.6 million followers, Novak Djokovic has 9.1 million followers and Rafael Nadal has 11.8 million followers.

Moving on to Twitter, the Swiss ace has 12.7 million followers, the Serbian machine has 8.8 million followers and the Spanish star has 15.6 million followers. On Facebook, Federer has 18.5 million followers, Djokovic has 10.3 million followers and Nadal has 14.8 million followers. 

Rafael Nadal tops the charts 

Overall, the man from Switzerland has 39.8 million followers, taking all three social media platforms into account. In that context, the athlete from Serbia has 28.2 million followers and the Spanish national has 42.2 million followers. Taking it all into account, Rafa exceeds Roger and Novak when it comes to having a larger fan following.

At the moment, Djokovic is busy competing at the US Open. He is looking to win the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season. He has already created history this season and wants to cement himself further into the history books. 

On the other hand, Federer and Nadal have both decided to end their season. The Swiss maestro has to undergo another knee surgery whereas the Spaniard has been dealing with a foot injury for some time. 

We hope to see these two legends get back to full fitness and once again thrill fans in a similar manner as they have done for close to two decades.
