When does McDonald’s Monopoly end?

McDonalds Monopoly ends at11.59 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

It will run for a total of six weeks after beginning on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

When is the cut off date for claiming McDonald’s Monopoly prizes?

Normally the competition takes place around spring time and in 2020 the promotion was due to start shortly before it closed all 1,350 branches on March 23 because of the coronavirus crisis.

And rather than reprint the game pieces, the chain decided to repurpose them.

This means that Monopoly cards will appear to be expired.

The original cut off date was May 4th 2021.

However, the new cut off dates is October 5 2021.

How to play McDonald’s Monopoly

McDonald’s Monopoly works in a similar way to the classic boardgame.

Customers collect game pieces when they buy qualifying McDonald’s products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.

You’ll be able to find them as stickers which will appear on the packaging of your food.

Each piece represents a tile on the board which you can pick up for free in the restaurant or play along online.

When you collect a set, you get a prize, and there are also “instant wins” which allow you to claim your winnings immediately.

You can check out the full list of prizes up for grabs – and how many of each prize is available – in our McDonald’s Monopoly explainer.
