Brooklyn Nets Bolster Super Team By Signing Paul Millsap

Paul Millsap was dangling in free agency for a while now and not because he did not have good options. Paul is nearing 36 years of age and might not be as great as he was when he was younger, but he still has skills that can prove to be very useful to any team that he joins. However, it seems like the Brooklyn Nets are trying to catch up to the Lakers forming their super team as they just bagged a deal with Millsap.

Paul Millsap finally takes his pick

Paul Millsap was one of the very few big names still finding a landing spot this offseason. After having a great four-year stop, playing for the Denver Nuggets, making some great contributions. Throughout his time, he was being eyed by plenty of teams who were looking for a veteran defensive presence, a perimeter scorer, along with someone efficient to grab rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, and Brooklyn Nets were the three teams whose names most popped up regarding Millsap. And joining either of them seemed ideal for a man who is yet to win an NBA championship. However, it seems like he went with the who was a favorite to win the championship last season.

As per Shams Charania, “Free agent Paul Millsap has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, his agent DeAngelo Simmons told The Athletic.”

What does this mean for the Brooklyn Nets?

The nets already have one of the most elite rosters in the league right now. They are being led by James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving. While having a solid bench with veterans like Blake Griffin and Patty Mills. Paul’s addition will add depth and make them an even tougher competitor in the upcoming season.

Of course, Millsap did not play a very big role with the Nuggets when they were the third seed. In fact, he only played 56 games, averaging only 9 points. However, even his reduced role will give Brooklyn the boost they need, whether it is on the bench or off of it. Do you think Millsap finally has a chance at a title with the Nets?
