Zhou to get a chance at Alfa Romeo for next season
Bottas, and Formula E champion, de Vries have been linked for a drive at the team for 22′. But it is the Alpine academy driver who said to get the seat.
Laurent Rossi has told acclaimed F1 journalist, Lawrence Barretto that he would like to see Zhou with another team on the grid, just to give the Chinese driver an opportunity. As the seats, at Alpine, are occupied by Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon for the upcoming season.
How’s Zhou doing in F2 this season?
As it stands, the Alpine academy driver finds himself in second place in the driver standings with 103 points. His best result so far was at the opening round in Bahrain where he placed second in the first sprint race.
He hopes to improve on his form, bring in better results for the team, and maybe get a drive at Alfa Romeo. However, the driver replacement for Raikkonen hasn’t been announced but knows the battle for the seat at the Swiss-based team will be tough. Hence, Zhou will be hoping to have a spectacular F2 season.
