A CAR crash has left 10 soldiers who were traveling to help with Hurricane Ida relief efforts injured, according to reports.

Police said the troops had been cut off by another driver when the smash occurred on Thursday.

That led to a multi vehicle smash on the I-55 in Ridgeland, Mississippi, with three military cars caught up in the incident.

The troops are said to have suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

They had been on their way to help with Storm Ida relief efforts when the crash happened, WAPT.com reports.
