Tyron Woodley Reveals “Secretive” Floyd Mayweather’s Feedback on the Jake Paul Fight

On August 29, Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley’s fight entertained the vast boxing masses. For the first time, a Jake Paul fight went the distance and kept everyone intrigued. Moreover, ‘The Problem Child’ showed heart and won this fight with a split decision.

The overall results of this fight left Woodley jittered as he felt he edged over the YouTuber turned boxer on fight night. ‘The Chosen One’ even dedicated a substantial time to his training regimes to prepare for Paul. In fact, he had a few training sessions with Floyd Mayweather. But in the end, all of it went in vain.

Recently, Woodley, in an exclusive interview with Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, spoke about Mayweather’s notions on this fight and more.

“Floyd just said, you know, um, Floyd don’t like when I talk about a lot of technique and stuff that we work on. He’s really secretive with that. But it was some things that I did really well that he said I should have did more of. He did say just a little bit more output. He did feel like I won the fight.” (h/t Boxing Scene)

Just like Mayweather, a considerable amount of fans believed that Woodley smothered ‘The Problem Child‘ in every department. The former UFC stalwart even did that to a certain extent, but the judges gave this fight to Jake Paul.

Hence, as pride is at stake, Woodley is keen on booking a rematch to settle his scores with the 24-year-old.

Will Tyron Woodley bag a rematch with Jake Paul?

On August 29, right after his contest with Jake Paul ended, Tyron Woodley challenged ‘The Problem Child’ to a rematch.

However, the young force turned the tables when he asked the 39-year-old to follow through on their tattoo bet. Tyron Woodley even agreed to the same, but until now, there’s no news about ‘The Chosen One’ having inked himself.

Also, even if he does get inked, there’s no guarantee of a rematch, as Jake Paul may look to move on and challenge newer and stronger opponents.
