‘She Did Not Want to Live Anymore’ – Daniel Cormier Reveals Paige VanZant’s Horrifying Mental Battle Against Pressure

Paige VanZant is one of the most popular combat sports fighters out there. ’12 Gauge’ is an MMA fighter, boxer, author, and model. She has also appeared in the television series Dancing With The Stars and Chopped.

VanZant has been a public figure for too long and therefore has faced the pressure that comes with it. Recently during the DC and RC podcast, UFC legend Daniel Cormier talked about ’12 Gauge’ and her battle with mental health.

Cormier talked about how VanZant has been suffering from mental health issues. ‘DC’ said, “Paige Van Zant is a young lady that deals with pressure, which is unheard of. She told her husband, and this was me saying why did she run out of the ring when it was clear that she lost. She goes I walked out of the ring, I just went and I cried in a parking lot all by myself.”

“I said some things to my husband that are pretty terrible about like my mental state. She goes on to say that she told him that she didn’t want to live anymore. That this wasn’t for her anymore, like life, not sport, wasn’t for her anymore. So she was disappointed. She said that it was so hard losing that fight to Rachael Ostovich in bare-knuckle. This is crazy.”
