Love Island fans fume as Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank aren’t interviewed on sofa with Laura Whitmore

If there’s one question Love Island fans are wondering after last night’s reunion, it’s why Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank weren’t interviewed on the sofa with Laura Whitmore.
This year’s islanders reunited for a special episode on Sunday night, which saw them rehash old dramas, come face-to-face with love rivals and relive their funniest moments on the ITV2 series.
Viewers were shown footage of what the final four couples, including Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromoloran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, and winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon, have been up to since leaving the villa two weeks ago.
In their segment, Tyler was seen asking Kaz to be his girlfriend, making their romance official.
With their happy ending – as well as the drama along their journey – many felt there was more than enough material to cover in their chat with Laura, but Kaz and Tyler were instead given a fairly casual and brief interview.
The pair remained seated at their table in the audience as Laura turned to ask them a few questions, only briefly asking Casa Amor girl Clarisse Juliette what she thought of her former love interest’s official relationship despite the juicy storyline.
Reacting to the awkward interview, one viewer tweeted: ‘Kaz and Tyler deserved to be on that sofa yet we had Hugo VIII and his surviving wives. Like excuse you.’

It was in reference to Hugo getting a full interview on the couch alongside four female contestants, all who he struggled to find a connection with and some who were in the villa for a matter of hours.
Another commented: ‘So all finalists Millie Liam, Toby Chloe, Faye and Teddy are on the main sofa but not Kaz and Tyler? Yh see you lot at ITV studios tonight, I’ve had enough.’
‘Why were Kaz and Tyler not on the sofa but everyone els [sic] was even Liberty and she is not even in a relationship!!!’ one fumed.
Sharing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘Please tell me why the FINALISTS Kaz and Tyler didn’t get time on the sofa but Lib (who I love) on her own was given time on the sofa WITHOUT Jake. @itv2 can you not see the issue?!?!’
‘Every other couple who made the final was brought up to the sofa to chat but Kaz and Tyler were left sitting at their table. Very disrespectful,’ one said.

Criticising the format of the reunion, another said: ‘There was no need for an award segment, that 3 mins could have been Tyler and Kaz time on the sofa.’
It’s not known if Kaz and Tyler requested not to appear on-stage or if it was simply a production decision.
