Lando Norris is arguably one of the most comical personalities on the current F1 grid. Since joining McLaren in 2019, the Briton often produced some of the most hilarious moments on the internet, which had fans in splits.

At the recently concluded Dutch Grand Prix, Norris kept this trend going after the race. During an interview, he couldn’t control his own laughter while answering a question.

In the Dutch Grand Prix, Norris returned to the points with a 10th-place finish. After the race, Sky Sports interviewed him to sum up his race. While mentioning the impact of wind on his race, he made an edgy error in his description.

He said, “When the wind was as gusty, and blowy as it was today. Blowy wasn’t a word. It’s blew as strong as it was today.” Although the reporter assured him it was a word, Norris was more concerned about the reactions that could come in later. “Yeah I know. It’s just that it’s going to get clipped to something,” said the Briton.

Following this, Norris tried to continue with his answer. However, he couldn’t hold back his laughter from his impromptu choice of words earlier. While the moment would probably not feature in an F1 montage video, expect fans to send in more comical reactions in the coming days.

Norris slipped to fourth in the driver’s championship

Norris started the season strongly, carrying McLaren’s challenge for third place in the constructor’s championship. Alongside three podium finishes, the 21-year-old scored points in each of the first 10 races of the season.

However, he suffered a stunning DNF in the Hungarian Grand Prix after Valtteri Bottas crashed into him, which ended his scoring streak. After a three-week summer break, Norris suffered a heavy crash during qualifying at the Belgian Grand Prix.

This led to him incurring a five-place grid penalty for a gearbox change. With rain preventing a proper race from taking place, the Briton failed to score points once again. Despite scoring a point, Norris fell behind in the driver’s championship as Bottas finished on the podium in Zandvoort.

In addition, McLaren fell behind Ferrari in the constructor’s championship after the 72-lap race. With the Italian Grand Prix up next, Norris will look to return to form as the midfield battle continues to intensify.
