Baltimore Ravens Crippled With More Season-Ending Injuries

The Baltimore Ravens seem to be in a sad state of affairs, as this Thursday they suffered two more season-ending ACL injuries in the same practice session. Furthermore, the Ravens have already suffered a lot this season after J.K. Dobbins suffered a torn ACL followed by Justice Hill’s compromised Achilles and now a season-ending torn ACL of both cornerback Marcus Peters and running back Gus Edwards, according to ESPN’s sources.

Down goes another Raven

By the looks of it, it seems like the Ravens have been cursed as they are piling up with injuries. The season is going to be a disaster for them. The Ravens weren’t practicing in full pads on Thursday, because of which it was Peters who went down first, followed by Edwards. After which, the head coach of the Ravens, John Harbaugh, called off the practice.

The Ravens were a team with a deep backfield at the start of the season. Although within just 12 days, the Ravens lost three of their most crucial running backs to season-ending injuries.

During the absence of Justice Hill, and Gus Edwards, and J.K. Dobbins, the depth has reduced drastically and the Ravens seek more running backs to help them survive the season. According to the roster, it is now the responsibility of Ty’Son Williams, Trenton Cannon, and Le’Veon Bell to not let the franchise down during these tough times.

The Ravens on Thursday announced they will sign Devonta Freeman to their practice squad. He will be directly promoted to the roster. Although they too have to find a perfect replacement for the cornerback Marcus Peters, it will be tricky for them to find a playmaker like Peters.

The lineup which the Ravens had just two weeks ago is now an idea far from their reach. It would be next to impossible for the Ravens to produce the kind of numbers that Dobbins and Edwards produced the previous season.

As the Ravens open their season against Las Vegas Raiders next Monday, let’s see if they grab their first win without their star players.
