Call Of Duty: Vanguard beta weekend starts today – here’s how to join it

The public beta for the new Call Of Duty is starting this weekend, but only for PlayStation owners first.

Last month, PlayStation owners got to try out an exclusive alpha for the upcoming Call Of Duty: Vanguard. For anyone that may have felt left out, you can look forward to a beta test that’s taking place over the next couple of weekends.

The first weekend has already kicked off and will run until Monday, September 13 at 6pm BST. However, just like the alpha test, this one is exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and 5, and you have to have pre-ordered the game too.

The second weekend runs from September 16 at 6pm BST to September 17 at 6pm BST. This beta will be open to all PlayStation owners, but anyone on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, or PC will need to have pre-ordered the game to have access.

An open beta available to everyone, regardless of platform or pre-order status, will follow on September 18 at 6pm BST and last until September 20 at 6pm BST.

With the obvious exception of the PlayStation-only beta, cross-play functionality will be enabled so everyone can play together. You can find more details about what content is available in the beta on the official website.

Back in July, a lawsuit was filed against Activision by the State of California for fostering a hostile and discriminatory workplace culture, with multiple allegations of sexual harassment and abuse made against the company.

Multiple staff members have since left Activision, including Diablo 4 game director Luis Barriga and World Of Warcraft designer Jonathan LeCraft.

Call Of Duty: Vanguard will release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
