Jake Paul Hints at Declining the Re-Match Against Tyron Woodley

If Tyron Woodley gets a tattoo of Jake Paul’s name on his body, it will reportedly open up the rematch clause between him and ‘The Problem Child’. That’s what was said after both men had unveiled a close collision on August 29 that saw Jake Paul claim the win via split decision.

Meanwhile, Woodley had expressed interest in re-matching the 24-year-old, which Paul also accepted. However, the current scenario cites the social media star to have reflected a change in his opinion. Following his 4th professional win, Paul now wants to test himself against a boxer who has a pro-experience.

That said, Jake Paul has specially intended to battle Tyson Fury’s brother Tommy Fury in a potential scrap. The two have already had their share of social media feuds. Moreover, winning their respective fights in the recent Showtime card has further nourished the fight talks. Although Jake Paul can pay attention to several other options, he seems to be aiming at ‘TNT’.

In a chat with Full Send Podcast, he said, “I wanna fight a real boxer. I think Tommy Fury is probably top of that list… This guy comes from a legendary boxing bloodline. He’s undefeated. Let’s run it up.”

7-0 as a professional, Tommy Fury is also looking for tough opposition. As all of his past opponents have had below-average resumes in boxing, ‘TNT’ can also benefit a lot by going against another undefeated boxer, Paul. The fight will be lucrative for business, too.

Starting from social media fame to being rivals, Paul and Fury share a lot of similar traits. Thus, it makes sense to put them against each other in a ring.

What’s next for Jake Paul, if not Tyron Woodley?

Despite going 4-0 against Woodley, Paul looked bleak on umpteen scenarios. He got rocked by Woodley and almost fell on the canvas in round four. It was clearly not one of his best nights, but the youngster found a way to remain unbeaten. Nevertheless, the former UFC champion, Tyron Woodley, clearly exposed Paul’s prowess against a professional striker.

Despite that, he is firm about facing real boxers. Hence, one of his latest Instagram posts might be the blueprint. The post revealed names like Gervonta Davis, Canelo Alvarez, Conor McGregor, and many other A-listers on his hit list. However, as none of these names seem to have any intentions of facing Paul, it’s hard to picture ‘The Problem Child’s’ next move.
