Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari has addressed pictures of a diamond ring that appeared on his Instagram account, urging people to ‘calm down’.

The photos, which appeared on his Instagram Stories on Friday, showed a silver sparkler with the word ‘lionness’ engraved on the band, however the images have since been deleted.

Sam, 27, told his followers in a typed statement his account had been ‘hacked’ and the images of the ring were fake.

In a message posted to his Stories he said: ‘Account got hacked and was photoshopped – calm down everyone!’

He recently gave fans a glimmer of hope that the Toxic singer, 39, will perform again after the star previously confessed she had ‘no idea’ if she will return to the stage.

When asked by TMZ, ‘Do you think Britney fans will be able to see her back on stage?’ Sam replied: ‘Absolutely, man… Hopefully.’

Sam has been by his girlfriend’s side throughout her legal battle to have her father Jamie Spears removed from the conservatorship she has been under since 2008.

Britney appeared in court in June, giving an explosive testimony comparing the order to ‘abuse’ and hitting out at Jamie.

She said she is ‘depressed’ and ‘traumatised’ and said she believes ‘this conservatorship is abusive’.

Jamie has denied allegations of conservatorship abuse but earlier this month sensationally filed to end the 13-year conservatorship.

The filing said: ‘Ms Spears has told this Court that she wants control of her life back without the safety rails of a conservatorship.

‘She wants to be able to make decisions regarding her own medical care, deciding when, where and how often to get therapy. She wants to control the money she has made from her career and spend it without supervision or oversight.

‘She wants to be able to get married and have a baby, if she so chooses. In short, she wants to live her life as she chooses without the constraints of a conservator or court proceeding.’

Lawyers for Jamie said he had always wanted what was best for his daughter.

The filing added: ‘As Mr Spears has said again and again, all he wants is what is best for his daughter. If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance.’

The Womanizer singer is said to be ‘ecstatic’ at the news.
