Undeniably, watching night tennis at Arthur Ashe Stadium is the best it can get in the sport. Thus, the fun always follows except for the two men battling out for history on the court.

Coming into this match, Djokovic carried a 26-match winning streak in the Grand Slam tournaments. Naturally, he had eyes on the ultimate prize, the Calendar Slam achievement.

On the other side, Zverev came on the court with a 16-match winning streak, including the Tokyo Olympics. Since he denied the Serb his Golden Slam, he now faced the challenge of denying him the Calendar Slam.

So, the match was a mini-final before the title match on Sunday against second seed Daniil Medvedev. Hence, the couple also played this match accordingly.
