2018 7th Round Pick Jordan Mailata Pens Multimillion 4-Year Extension with Philadelphia Eagles

NFC East franchise Philadelphia Eagles endured a tough season in 2020. The one-time Super Bowl winners finished last in their division last season. Star quarterback Carson Wentz parted ways with the franchise as did head coach Doug Pederson. The arrival of young and passionate, Nick Sirianni, will kickstart a rebuild period for the Eagles in the big league.

But one man who is hopefully going to stick around for a while, is offensive tackle Jordan Mailata. The Australian international arrived in America via the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a 7th round pick by the Eagles (233rd overall). The youngster became the second player to join the NFL with no American high school or college experience after Germany’s Moritz Böhringer.

Mailata signed a four-year deal worth $2.5 million with a signing bonus of $89,392. Now, he has been rewarded with a new contract for his spirited displays ahead of the 2021 NFL season.
