Anderson Silva Stuns Tito Ortiz With a First Round KO!

Anderson Silva took on Tito Ortiz in the co-main event of the Triller Fight Club Co-main event of the evening. The former UFC champions took each other on in the boxing ring. Anderson Silva was the bookie’s favorite going into the fight. Tito Ortiz had to lose 40 pounds over 4 weeks just to try to make weight at 195 pounds.

Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva stunned the world by knocking Tito Ortiz out in the very first round of the fight. Triller scheduled the fight for eight two-minute rounds between the UFC Hall of Famers. The fight started off strong as Tito Ortiz came out as the aggressor.

Ortiz pressed Silva and threw a few body shots, none of which landed convincingly. Silva used his signature quick feet and head movement to evade the initial pressure thrown by Ortiz. With forty seconds to go in the fight, ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ forced Silva into the corner and threw a barrage of punches at Silva.

Silva ducks and weaves, with his hands up. In a split second, the Brazilian lands a counter right and Boom! Its lights out for the American, as he fell against the corner and then onto the mat. Silva connected so well straight on his temple, that Tito Ortiz didn’t even move for a few seconds as he fell unconscious.

Silva didn’t seem surprised by the knockout as he casually strolled back into his corner, not even celebrating the knockout. Anderson Silva improves his record to 2-0 in 2021 after defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr earlier this year. His overall record stands at three wins, and one loss.

What’s next for Anderson Silva?

In the post-fight interview, Anderson Silva did not call anyone out, but it was very clear that ‘The Spider’ would continue training and boxing. He stated that he would go back home and train and see what happens next.

Silva has also stated earlier that he would continue fighting till the age of 49. “Everything is possible,” he said. “Until 49.
