Anderson Silva Asks Fight Fans to Respect Jake and Logan Paul

Former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva sat down for an interview with Renne Paquette and Miesha Tate at the Throwing Down Podcast. Silva has just defeated Tito Ortiz in a boxing match last weekend and he has called out the YouTube stars, Jake and Logan Paul for a fight next.

Jake Paul has recently earned a decision win against the former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley inside the squared ring. Loggan, on the other hand, fought Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout and managed to go the full distance against the consensus greatest boxer of all time.

“The [Paul brothers] opened the door.”

While many have been skeptical about the Paul brothers and have diminished the fact they are taking on some actual fighters, Silva has called for some respect for the reality star duo saying they have opened a big window of opportunity for many.

This is very interesting fight. They both did good. This is such smart kids, said Silva when asked about him calling out. “People talk a lot about the Paul brothers, but people need to respect. Because the  kids opened the door for everything for people think about,” he added.

It’s not real real fight boxing. It’s show, this is entertaining. And why not? A lot of people waiting for to see good people fighting,” Silva said further. “This is amazing, everything is brand new and that’s good,” he concluded.

Will Anderson Silva fight either of the Paul brothers next?

While they have been fighting real fighters, they are yet to take on anybody like Silva in a real fight. Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather, but it was an exhibition clash. The duo has chosen their opponents very carefully till now.

Silva has looked incredible since his transition from MMA to boxing. Prior to smoking Ortiz, he beat former world champion boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. So, if indeed either of the Paul brothers actually takes the risk of stepping inside the ring with a striking wizard, like Silva, remains to be seen.
