Britney Spears’ Instagram has disappeared, leaving fans totally baffled.

The Toxic singer previously boasted millions of followers and sweet snaps on her account, but a message on the page now reads ‘No posts yet’.

There are also blank spaces instead of the 39-year-old’s posts, follower and following counts.

A message on the desktop version of Instagram reads: ‘Sorry, this page isn’t available.

‘The link you’ve followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.’

Fans were confused by the move, and flocked to Twitter to speculate on where she had gone.

‘Ok just saying but Britney Spears deactivated her Instagram #BritneySpears,’ one posted.

A Twitter user begged: ‘Can someone plz tell me WHERE. THE. F**K. IS. MISS. LEGENDARY. BRITNEY. F**KING. SPEARS??? #BritneySpears #freebritney #whereisbritney #instagram @britneyspears @instagram.’

Another questioned: ‘Wait what happened to Britney’s Instagram? What did we miss? Does anyone know where she is? Is she ok?’

As a fan urged others to wait until there were ‘concrete’ answers given before speculating.

‘Britney Spears’ Instagram account was either deactivated or suspended this afternoon,’ they added.

‘There could be a million reasons why, so here’s gentle reminder to not speculate until we have a concrete answer.’

Although her Instagram profile is no longer active, Britney’s Twitter page is still running – but she has yet to address the questions on there.

The move comes after the mum-of-two confirmed her engagement to partner Sam Asghari just days ago – becoming one of her last pictures on the platform.

Flashing a brand new diamond ring, she grinned beside her beau in the uploads, with the caption: ‘I can’t f**king believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!’

Sam still has a photo announcing their engagement on his own page, which has racked up more than 700,000 likes.
