Drag Race UK season 3 bags even more celebrity guest judges as Nicola Coughlan, Russell Tovey and Lulu confirmed

Drag Race UK has been teasing fans with additions to its judging line-up in recent days and now there are three more reasons for watchers to get excited about season 3.

The upcoming season of Drag Race UK has been pulling out all the stops with its guest stars so far.

Names such as Little Mix’s Leigh Ann Pinnock, Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse and social media sensation Charity Shop Sue, will all be fixtures on the panel this year.

Now, the show has added three more delightful guest stars to the panel, who will feature alongside Ru Paul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr.

BBC Three’s official Twitter account wrote: ‘What do @nicolacoughlan, Lulu and @russelltovey all have in common?

‘They’re are all going to be guest judges on series three of #DragRaceUK.’

In a glorious homage to season two finalist Bimini Bon Boulash, they added: ‘Not a joke, just a fact.’

Bridgerton star Nicola quickly shared her delight at being billed to appear on the latest season.

She tweeted minutes later: ‘Because I am what? A Sickening Extra Special Guest Judge Bish!

‘When RuPaul asked me on the @dragraceukbbc panel I felt gorgeous, I felt perfect, I felt like Linda Evangelista, like a model If your question is U K Hun did you feel ready?

‘I didn’t have to get ready I stay ready,’ Nicola wrote.

Years and Years star Russell also expressed his excitement in a statement after he was announced.

Russell said: ‘It is such an inspirational show and to be a part of this magical world is sensational.’

He went on to add his own drag name would be Ruth Top Garden.

Superfan of Drag Race UK, Lulu, commented: ‘During lockdown, [Drag Race UK] was one of the most fun, entertaining, glamorous, camp ways to spend an evening.

‘After watching the show I always felt uplifted… it was THE BEST tonic!’

It was confirmed on Monday comedian Judi Love and Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle would feature for the show’s annual Snatch Game.

BBC Three unveiled this year’s crop of contestants last month which features amongst it the competition’s first-ever cisgender woman, Victoria Scone.

Fans of the franchise don’t have long left to wait before they get their latest fix of herstory, as the show will be back later this month.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK returns to BBC iPlayer from 7pm Thursday 23 September.
