Kim Kardashian once again had all eyes on her at the Met Gala, outdoing herself for the 2021 event with her outfit – but fans have no idea if Donda hitmaker Kanye West was with her.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star rocked up to the event in a black Balenciaga outfit, which came complete with a balaclava over her head, a jumper, tights and stiletto-heeled boots.

The only part of Kim on show was her long ponytail.

All eyes were on her mysterious outfit, with some comparing it to a dementor from Harry Potter as she sparked a thousand memes.

However, some are also curious about her hooded companion, who also never showed his face.

Many have assumed that Kim and Kanye attended together as, despite their divorce, the pair are still on great terms.

Others wondered if it was the 40-year-old’s best friend Jonathan Cheban.

However, a source told E! that it was actually designer Demna Gvasalia, creative director of Balenciaga.

The insider said that Kanye’s ‘presence will be felt on the carpet.’

‘It was him who introduced Kim to Demna and was instrumental in the newly formed relationship between her and Balenciaga,’ they added. ‘This look on Kim is like a new subculture and fashion statement. No logo, no face, but everyone knows it’s her.’

The source continued: ‘Kanye gave her the courage to push creativity and people’s imagination through art. It’s the ultimate confidence.’

Kanye did not appear to attend the event this year, although he has previously accompanied Kim.

Kim and Kanye are not back together.

The reality star filed for divorce earlier this year, but the pair still appear to be good friends.

The mum-of-four supported him around the release of his album Donda, rocking coordinated outfits with her ex and bringing the pair’s children along to his listening parties.

The rapper also appeared to open up about his marriage on the album – in fact, he appeared to to allude to being unfaithful in his marriage.

On Hurricane, which is track five of the hitmaker’s 10th studio album, the 44-year-old appeared to suggest he was unfaithful sometime after the birth of the pair’s second child, Saint.

In the song, the Jesus Walks rapper says: ‘Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.’

According to Page Six, a source claims the lyrics were based on Ye’s truth as the insider stated: ‘The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown.

‘If you look closer to the lyrics he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids.’

‘Kimye’ famously tied the knot on May 24, 2014, during a lavish ceremony held in Florence, Italy.
