The Anaconda rapper made headlines when she was mentioned in a government briefing earlier today, after she stated that she wouldn’t be attending last night’s Met Gala because the event required everyone to be vaccinated.
Taking to Twitter, the 38-year-old went viral after claiming that a relative’s friend was ditched by his wife after his testicles became swollen as an apparent side-effect of the coronavirus vaccine.
Pouring the coldest of water on her allegations in the briefing, Chief medical officer Chris Whitty was having none of it, as Mr Johnson confessed that he had no idea who the musician was.
Side note: Has he not heard Starships?
In one of the most bizarre moments the pandemic has gifted us, Nicki responded to a clip from the press conference, questioning whether it was a diss on the PM’s part.
Sharing the video, she penned: ‘I love him even tho I guess this was a diss?
‘The accent ugh! Yassss boo!!!’
Nicki then went one further and put on a ‘British’ accent – though we’re not quite sure where exactly she is meant to be from – and shared a voice note with the politician.
‘Send this to the Prime Minister & let him know they lied on me,’ she added in a follow-up tweet. ‘I forgive him. No one else. Only him.’
In the clip, she could be heard stating: ‘Yes, hello Prime Minister Boris, it is Nicki Minaj. I was just calling to tell you that I thought you were so amazing on the news this morning.

‘And I’m actually British. I was born there, I went to university there, I went to Oxford. I went to school with Margaret Thatcher and she told me so many nice things about you.
‘I’d love to send you my portfolio of my work, since you don’t know much about me.
‘I’m a big, big star in the United States.’
Honestly, what is happening right now?
The whole thing began on Monday when Nicki announced that she would not be appearing at the Met Gala as guests were required to be vaccinated – before making some wild claims about the jabs.

‘My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent,’ she alleged on Twitter. ‘His testicles became swollen.
‘His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding.
‘So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.’
She also revealed that she is still researching vaccines and their symptoms, and urged followers to keep their masks on.
The Prime Minister was questioned on her tweets in this afternoon’s briefing, in which he admitted that he wasn’t clear on exactly who she is.
‘I’m not as familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be, but I’m familiar with Nikki Kanani, superstar GP of Bexley who has appeared many times before you, who will tell you that vaccines are wonderful and everybody should get them,’ he stated.
‘So I prefer to listen to Nikki Kanani.’
Professor Chris Whitty dismissed Nicki’s claims, adding: ‘There are a number of myths that fly around, some of which are just clearly ridiculous and some of which are clearly designed just to scare.
‘That happens to be one of them.’
He concluded that the ‘great majority’ of people want to get vaccinated and added that people who knowingly share vaccine disinformation should be ‘ashamed’.
