You’ve got two good chances to get one today (pic: Sony)
If you’re looking to get a PS5 console before Christmas then today could be your best bet, with both GAME and Argos receiving new stock.
The already predicted Argos restock for the PlayStation 5 console has begun and as of time of writing it’s in stock on their website, although you may find your local store doesn’t get its allocation until later in the day or even tomorrow.
That’s only going to last 30 minutes or so, at best, but your second chance today is at GAME, who have got so much stock today that they actually warned customers about it with a tweet.
It’s expected to become available sometime between 9am and 11am today, September 14, but there will be online queuing in order to try and prevent scalpers from buying the whole batch.
GAME will have both the standard PlayStation 5 and the cheaper, disc drive-less Digital Edition, with both models available separately and in bundles.
Whether the online queuing system actually works remains to be seen but according to GAME it will help to make things as ‘as smooth and fair as possible for our customers’.

Although the price that scalpers have been able to sell a PlayStation 5 at has been steadily decreasing as the console has become more available, they’re still sold at £100 to £200 extra on eBay and the like.
To further combat scalpers GAME has insisted that nobody is allowed to order more than one console and anyone that does manage to, and they find out has multiple consoles going to the same address or account, will have their orders cancelled within 24 hours.
