Daniel Ricciardo is back like he never left. The Australian had a victory a long time coming, and he caught it at Monza. A jubilant celebration followed a well-earned taste of the victor’s champagne by both Ricciardo and the team. However, the tracks called to Ricciardo, and he answered. The victor of the 2021 Italian GP was back on the track with his kart just a day later.

Undoubtedly, Ricciardo gave a stunning performance at Monza. After the challenges he’s faced this season, it was a well-deserved win for the Aussie. However, it seems after a day of celebration, the driver wanted the adrenaline of racing instead.
Daniel Ricciardo- McLaren hero at Monza
Ricciardo made the Sunday at Monza a memorable one. The team was incredibly proud of their new driver, and his breakthrough elated team principal Andreas Seidl.
The race in Monza reassured Seidl. “Daniel struggled with integration, getting used to our car at the beginning, but there’s a reason that we wanted to get him on board: he’s a proven racer and he’s one of the best ones in that sport.”
Seidl explained how much the 1-2 finish meant for the team. “And to see how the team delivered under pressure was impressive for me, so very happy with that. There’ll be some big celebrations tonight because these moments, you have to celebrate properly.”
Regardless, Seidl knows that the win only means they have to keep the pace going.

“No reason to get carried away; it’s important to celebrate today but shouldn’t forget one week ago [at Zandvoort] we got destroyed. We still have a lot of work to do, but the direction is the right one.”
As McLaren get ready to take the grid by storm, Ricciardo and Norris will continue to be a strong partnership for the team. Now that Ricciardo has finally found his groove with the McLaren, there’s a lot more of Papaya to come.
