After beating 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez in the US Open 2021 final, 18-year-old Emma Raducanu became the first-ever qualifier to win a Grand Slam in tennis history. Since then, she has been the headline on every reporting channel. Recently, the teenager also visited the New York Stock Exchange and expressed her interest in the markets.

Firstly, Emma stated that visiting the NYSE was one place on her “bucket list before leaving New York.” She then explained that since her “parents were both in finance,” she “always had a keen interest” in the markets. Fascinatingly, on her course of 10 matches at the US Open 2021, Emma did not lose a single set. That is why her victory is one of the greatest stories told in Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York.

Besides her victory, the Britton teenager has her eyes on the business side of the sport. However, she understands that there is still a lot left to learn.

On Post 9 at the NYSE, the reporter asked Emma about her interest in the business side of tennis. She said, “Definitely. I think it’s huge and I would love to learn more about it.”

“I’m at the beginning of my career now, but I’m excited to learn and develop, and hopefully, along the way, I’ll learn many more things and experience a lot more and get into the business side a lot more.”
