Nintendo Switch Update Brings Much-Needed Feature Alongside Long-Awaited Changes

For the longest time, Nintendo Switch users have been asking for Bluetooth audio devices to be compatible with their console. Now, it seems like Nintendo has finally answered their prayers. The Switch recently received a system update version 13.0.0 which improves Bluetooth compatibility with the devices and brings some more useful features to players.

The major highlight of this update is that headphones, earbuds, speakers, and other Bluetooth-enabled audio devices can now be paired with the Switch family devices. While you will receive audio through these devices after this update, you cannot input any audio even if you have a microphone. Furthermore, if you have connected a Bluetooth audio device, you will be able to connect a maximum of two wireless controllers.

There is also a setting that does not allow you to connect Bluetooth audio devices when local wireless communication is active. Thus, although this much-needed feature has finally made its way to the Switch, there is much room for improvement.

It will also retain functionality for owners of the upcoming OLED model of the Switch.

Lastly, the update has introduced a new method for players to calibrate their control sticks. In order to do this, you must check your system settings for the icon Controllers and Sensors. Then, you can select Calibrate Control Sticks and completely tilt the control stick in any one direction and keep it tilted for a few seconds to begin calibration.

The OLED model of the Switch is set to release on 8th October 2021. Despite the lack of hardware improvements, the console boasts some impressive visual improvements. What do you think of this new Nintendo system update? Let us know in the comments down below.
