“That’s Just Stupidness” – John Fury Reacts to Eddie Hearn’s Comments on Stripping Tyson Fury Off His Title

A few days back, Eddie Hearn shared an honest notion of his compatriot Tyson Fury and his inactivity inside the squared circle. Fury, who last competed in February 2020, has a fight aligned for October 9. This inactivity of 20 months caught Hearn’s attention. As a result, the Matchroom boss asserted on stripping ‘The Gypsy King’ and upgrading the interim champ, Dillian Whyte, as the champ.

But Fury’s father, John Fury, absolutely cut Hearn‘s remarks. Speaking exclusively to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, he said, “His breath must stink rotten through eating his own s**t , that’s what I think about that. Because that’s just stupidness isn’t it? Strip the best heavyweight alive? What’s ever come out of this country. Is he dreaming?”

As Fury has never defended a world title, many boxing purists have taken a dig at him. In just under a month, ‘The Gypsy King’ will enter the squared circle against Deontay Wilder to repair this stat. His fight against Wilder will be one career-pivoting fight as the winner will progress to an undisputed fight in the future.

That said, Tyson Fury has a lot to prove once he takes up the ring space next. The world will be glued to see how he fares and whether he truly deserves to be on that spot.

Can Tyson Fury shut his naysayers once again?

Over the course of time, Tyson Fury has proved his worth, and he’s always shown tremendous character. Citing that, we can expect the undefeated heavyweight king to unleash his best version inside the ring.

If ‘The Gypsy King’ batters Wilder once again, needless to say, Tyson Fury will register a title defense and shut his naysayers, at least on that point. Do you think he can do it? Or will Deontay Wilder make a roaring comeback to reclaim his throne?
