The Lakers were one of the busiest teams in the off-season. Bringing in the likes of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony the Lake show have strengthened their supporting cast around LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Last season, the injuries to LeBron and Davis was perhaps one of the biggest factors why the Lakers crashed out in the first round of the playoffs. With Davis suffering from a groin injury and Bron not a 100%, the Lakers who were incredibly dependent on the duo were in tatters.

While Lakers’ exit in the playoffs was rather unexpected, this meant that the Purple and Gold finally had a lengthy off-season. ‘King James’ certainly has taken advantage of the same. While LBJ often posts about him enjoying with his family and friends, the 36-year-old is certainly putting in the work.

In a recent video in social media, the 4-time MVP can be seen working out. Doing a shoulder exercise, James certainly looks in shape and with 19 days left to training camp of the 2021-22 season, Bron can’t wait to get back to the court.

While others from LeBron’s draft class have barely managed to stay in the league, LBJ has always stood out from the rest. Working on his body and maintaining it certainly has been a key factor.

Given how freak of an ankle injury the 36-year-old suffered in the playoffs, it is encouraging to see the 4-time NBA champion putting in the work and seemingly ready. But with increasing age, Bron’s frequency of suffering from an injury has increased and the Lakers’ star will be very careful.

Going into this season, LeBron certainly has a much better lineup beside him. With another superstar in Russell Westbrook who is an elite playmaker, LBJ can play off-the ball in his preferred position.

The shooters are also significantly better than last season. Players like Wayne Ellington, Carmelo Anthony etc will open up the lane with their shooting thus resulting in easy baskets for Bron and Co. James certainly has the perfect opportunity to prove why he is still the best player in the NBA by defeating the Nets this season. Can LeBron James succeed in doing the same?
