Australian tennis professional Nick Kyrgios couldn’t attend the most celebrated fashion night in New York, the Met Gala 2021. However, it did not mean that he missed out on all the fun of dressing up.

At the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, the theme for this year was ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’ Now, whether Kyrgios lived up to its expectations is for the fashion experts to decide.

Recently, the 26-year-old uploaded a picture of himself with “Met Gala vibes” on Instagram. Although he seemed fine, he did miss the company of tennis stars that attended the extravagant show.

Notably, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, Maria Sharapova, Leylah Fernandez, Emma Raducanu, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Matteo Berrettini, and Ajla Tomljanovic were present at the Met. Indeed, it was an unconventional night for tennis stars.

Where will Nick Kyrgios play next after the US Open loss?

In the US Open 2021 opening round, Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut defeated Nick Kyrgios in straight sets. All the more, he bageled the Australian in the third set.

However, the good news is that the Aussie maverick is back on the court in Boston. It is also where he will represent Team World in the Laver Cup 2021 for the fourth time.

Moreover, the American legend John McEnroe will coach Team World for the Cup. Naturally, the players are practicing in his tennis academy in Boston.

Kyrgios’ 2021 season so far

Without any doubt, Kyrgios hasn’t had the best of his tennis in 2021. Although he fought an epic battle with Austria’s Dominic Thiem, which he lost, he hasn’t shown his top-class game since.

So far, he has had a 7-7 win-loss record on the ATP Tour. Consequently, the former World No.13 is now ranked World No.95.

To sum up, Kyrgios will aim to end the 2021 season on high terms. Also, since Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Dominic Thiem will be absent in Team Europe in the Laver Cup, it is a massive opportunity for Team World to win this year.
