Russian GP: Heavy Rain Set to Drop Down at Sochi in Lastest F1 Weather Forecast Update

Rain at a Formula One Grand Prix can make the race more exciting. One of the best examples that we have had this season, was the race in Spa, where the showers in Belgium gave us a unique event. So fans are wondering if they can expect something similar for the Russian Grand Prix.

Will Sochi see a repeat of what we witnessed in Spa or will the rain make the Grand Prix a more thrilling race? And who will come out on top, if the showers ever hit the track in Sochi?

What are the chances of rain at the Russian Grand Prix?

We have had the probability of rain at a number of venues this season. However, the F1 community wasn’t prepared for the showers at Spa. And after seeing the action in Belgium, fans would like to know if they can expect something similar for the upcoming race weekend in Russia.

The weather is said to be around 21 degrees Celsius, with a 25% chance of precipitation with winds said to reach a speed of 15 mph & humidity at 36 %.

Towards the end of the race, the temperature will fall down to 17 degrees Celsius, while precipitation will increase to 58%, humidity at 45% & winds reaching a speed of 20 mph.

Who will come out on top in Sochi?

Last weekend at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix was an eventful one, as McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris provided a one-two finish. While title contenders Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were out of the race due to their crash.
