AEW Dynamite Beats WWE Raw in Key Demo Yet Again Despite Big E’s WWE Title Win

The rivalry between AEW and WWE is now becoming a shadow of the infamous “Monday Night Wars” in the 90s, which happened between WWE (then WWF) and WCW. Although Big E won his first WWE Championship in an emotional moment last week, Tony Khan’s AEW beat Raw again this week in terms of key demographic viewership.

AEW marginally wins against WWE Raw, again

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, this week’s AEW Dynamite beat this week’s WWE Raw in key demographic viewers for the second week in a row despite the intriguing title change in the main event of the show.

AEW Dynamite last night on TNT was watched by 1,175,000 viewers on average. 574,000 viewers were aged 18 to 49 (0.44 rating).

AEW drew a 0.44 rating with 574,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo, while Raw drew a 0.43 rating with 556,000 viewers in the demo. However, it is notable that this week’s ratings are down 15.38% from last week’s 0.52 rating for the Dynamite post-AEW All Out.

According to Showbuzz Daily, this week’s AEW Dynamite drew 1.175 million viewers on TNT which is 10.91% down from last week’s Dynamite episode, which drew 1.319 million viewers. That was the second-best viewership in the show’s history.

This is the fourth week in a row that Dynamite has ranked number 1 on the Cable Top 150. Beating Raw two times in a row surely works as a confidence booster for Tony Khan.

This week’s Dynamite presented the in-ring debut of Adam Cole, who faced Frankie Kazarian. The fans also got to see Cody Rhodes’ return ever since he lost Malakai Black in August.

Tony Khan is ready to up his game at AEW Grand Slam, which will be headlined by Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson in a non-title match.
