Michael van Gerwen in tears after beating Fallon Sherrock 11-7 to win thrilling Darts Masters final

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN won the Nordic Darts Masters 2021 after a tough battle with Fallon Sherrock in the final.

The Dutchman, 32, came from behind to win the inaugural tournament 11-7.

Michael van Gerwen had to be on top form to fight back

Fallon Sherrock went into an early 6-3 lead before van Gerwen’s brilliant comeback

But it was Sherrock who took the initiative early on and led 6-3 and 7-6 at one point.

But van Gerwen remained composed and found blistering form to win six consecutive games and take the title.

He was emotional after picking up the trophy as the Copenhagen crowd sang his name in support.
