GMS Racing Tease Massive Truck Series Announcement for October

Earlier today, the GMS Racing Truck Series team took to Twitter to hint at something big in the works. Apparently, the outfit is gearing up for a major announcement set for October 1. Judging from the image of a truck with a cover, it poses a number of questions with different answers. Admittedly, one theory could be a new livery that will be used in a future race in the season.

Another idea is that the team could be unveiling its 2022 truck. Though if we’re being honest, the idea is a little ridiculous, since the new season is still a long way away. If this is true, though, GMS Racing will be one of the first teams to roll out their 2022 machines.

A final theory could suggest that the outfit will be fielding another driver in the 2022 season. The outfit has only confirmed one truck so far, which is Jack Wood’s #24 truck. The 21-year-old will be racing for the team on a full-time basis.

What next for GMS Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series?

For the moment, the team is focusing on the 2021 Truck Series campaign. Things seem to be going swimmingly, with Sheldon Creed and Zane Smith in the Playoff running. Creed is in a better position as he is sitting in second place in the championship standings. The best part is that both drivers managed to survive the first round of eliminations.

On the other end of the scale, time is running out for the two GMS Racing drivers, especially in their quest to catch and overtake John Hunter Nemechek. At the moment, Kyle Busch Motorsports appears to be their biggest rivals, with Nemechek and the newest race-winner, Chandler Smith. Even the ThorSport Racing team should not be underestimated, as one bad result could spell disaster.
