Jada Pinkett Smith celebrates 50th birthday with retro rollerskating party

Jada Pinkett Smith celebrated her 50th birthday in true retro style by hosting an outdoor rollerskating party for her nearest and dearest.
The Red Table Talk co-host’s lavish but relaxed do, which featured personalised neon signs, a full bar with swanky seating area and a fully kitted out rollerskating rink, was attended by guests including her husband, actor Will Smith, son Jaden Smith, stepson Trey Smith and family friends model Jordyn Woods, NBA player Karl-Anthony Towns and Grey’s Anatomy producer Debbie Allen.
Daughter Willow Smith, 20, was unable to attend due to her performance at a Las Vegas festival.
Jada shared video clips and pictures from Friday night’s festivities on her Instagram Stories, kicking off with a clip of her sitting under a lit-up sign reading ‘Jada’s Roller Rink’ and wearing a bright yellow tracksuit and black roller skates.
Messing around for the camera, she captioned the clip: ‘I rolled into 50 like…’
The star also shared footage of guests chatting and enjoying the event, as well as a look at the bar menu, which featured a personalised rollerskating logo for her, and footage of her skating and being serenaded with a rowdy chorus of Happy Birthday.

The actress posted a couple of snaps of her hubby, who has recently unveiled the actor replacing him in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot, one of which showed them hanging out with attendees who had very much embraced the retro 70s vibe with flares, sparkles and wigs.
Jada shared footage of one of her spins around the floor too, later in the night, as she moved around under the coloured lights and numerous disco balls.
‘I got to skate with Mother Moon last night for the first time in my life,’ she shared as she celebrated.

On Saturday, Jada’s mother and Red Table Talk co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris shared a heartfelt tribute to her daughter on her birthday, alongside a collection of family snaps that included Jada as a baby, and with her own kids across the years.
Labelling her ‘my greatest pride’, Adrienne reminisced: ‘Guess who’s turning 50????WOW!! Unbelievable!!!50 years ago today @ 12:38pm you arrived weighing a whopping 7lbs 3 3/4 oz. I was and still am so very proud.’
Alongside wishes for the future, she added: ‘I thank God for the village of family and friends who helped me guide you over the years. I take very little credit for the incredible woman you have become. I am overwhelmed w gratitude.’
Jada also made a statement by sharing a stunning portrait of herself in a 50th birthday tiara across a 12-photo block on her Instagram grid.

The star looked stunning in red lipstick with her shaved hairdo, as requested by daughter Willow ahead of her big day.
She has also recently shared a new tattoo of Mata Sita, a Hindu goddess and the heroine of the Sanskrit epic Ramayana, as she revealed plans to get an entire sleeve by the time she is 60.
