The reported incident happened just after 9pm at the intersection of Ridgeway Avenue and East Lawson Street, according to CBS17.

N.C. Central’s football team was playing against Winston-Salem State University at the O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium at the time of the incident.

There was three minutes left in the game when an announcement was made telling the crowd to not leave the stadium because of a “police situation” near the game.

The game ended without further incident inside the stadium, but it’s unclear if fans have been able to leave yet.
