“That’s a Huge W for Call of Duty”- TimTheTatman and Dr Disrespect React to Delay in Battlefield 2042’s Release
The FPS war between Call of Duty and Battlefield has been surging on for well over a decade. Popular streamers, Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman, offered their thoughts about the FPS, EA delayed Battlefield 2042’s release. The title was originally aimed for release on October 22, but now it has been pushed till November 19.
This sets the precedent that unknown issues have cost them a chance to release the title prior to Call of Duty. This has clearly put Activision in a significantly better position and the streamers offered their thoughts. Doc seemed extremely disappointed with the delay, while Tim feels it will favor Activision greatly.
“Early November right? I mean that’s a huge W for Call of Duty, Straight up,” Tim said.

Dr Disrespect feels it will put too much pressure on Activision
The 39-year-old streamer had a different opinion about this update than his counterparts. He feels, if the game fails to have a positive impact on the community, then it will bring more eyes to Battlefield than before. Activision will have to come up with a solid product that can stand on its own feet in order to best EA.
The streamer predicts that Battlefield is going to feature a Battle Royale mode of its own, despite the reports suggesting otherwise. Naturally, if Call of Duty fails to impress, then the community will jump ship to Battlefield, which could affect the sales.
” I don’t know man, it actually puts a little pressure on Call of Duty. Now, Call of Duty’s like, they’ve gotta meet a certain level of expectation or else’s it’s gonna get boring real fast and then boom Battlefield comes out then boom, boom, boom, Battle Royale”
The FPS genre didn’t see a new Battlefield title for 3 years and finally, it is returning in 2021. This is definitely going to be an incredibly competitive year for Activision, as its only major rival is returning.
How will Vanguard fare against Battlefield? That remains to be seen, as fans will have to wait a while longer before the games are out.
