Tyson Fury’s Promoter, Frank Warren, Announces “Bad News” for Deontay Wilder

Promoter Frank Warren recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming trilogy fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.  He said that Tyson is in his best shape yet and that his mental framework ahead of the fight seems solid.

Frank Warren highlighted that in the heavyweight division, there’s always a “puncher’s chance“. However, he believes that his ‘big right hand’ approach won’t work for ‘The Bronze Bomber’ this time around as Tyson Fury has already faced his best shots.

I have to say I have rarely seen Tyson look so well. He is in fantastic nick and a great frame of mind – all of which is bad news for Mr. Wilder.

In the heavyweights, there is always a puncher’s chance, but even that will probably not be enough for Wilder because Tyson has taken his best shot before and got up all guns blazing.

Wilder could not do likewise when Tyson put it on him and my bet is a repeat performance,” said Frank Warren.

Tyson Fury has to expect a different Deontay Wilder

Deontay Wilder‘s heavyweight sparring partner Stephen Shaw recently revealed in an interview that the Alabama native has taken things back to the basics.

Shaw labelled his sparring session with Wilder as “pay-per-view worthy”. He even added that he was going to train again with the former WBC champion soon. Stephen Shaw claimed that Deontay Wilder looked “pretty decent” in training.

He’s looking decent, he’s looking pretty decent, you know what I mean?

“Him and Malik Scott have been working on different things, you know, he’s kind of taking it back to the basics, you know it’s not just trying to rely on one big shot.

“You know, he’s trying to put fundamentals together, and that’s what you need, you know, especially at that elite level, you can only get so far, you know, knocking guys out, just with one punch.

“To his credit, he’s done it 40 something times, you know, that’s great, but after a while, it’s time to start putting it all together, especially at the elite caliber level that he’s at,” said Stephen Shaw.

Do you think Deontay Wilder can turn things around this time around?
