WATCH: Giannis Antetokounmpo Burns Midnight Oil to Add Lethal New Weapon to His Game

Giannis Antetokounmpo is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league right now. The ‘Greek Freak’ is a physical phenom and has developed into an incredible two-way force in the NBA. Be it shot-blocking or be it scoring, Giannis does all with ease.

Given how unique the 26-year-old is, he has been key for the Bucks to reach newer heights over the years. While the Bucks dominated the regular season all this while, they always faltered in the playoffs. But last season was different for Giannis and Co.

With a supporting cast that does not clog up the lane and stretches the floor, the 2-time MVP had the lane all by himself. There was no stopping Giannis since then as he went absolutely crazy and put on a show against the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns leading Milwaukee into a championship.

While Giannis might have silenced his doubters after leading the Bucks to a championship last season, his game does have two glaring weaknesses, his free throw shooting and his inconsistent three point shooting.

Ahead of NBA training camp, the 2-time MVP was earlier spotted training on his game. Training in his hometown, in a recent social media post Giannis drilled down multiple three pointers in a training session.

If Antetokounmpo does end up with a decent enough jumper, it will be a very big headache for the league. The Bucks’ game last season was fairly simple, as Giannis drove through to the lane and passed it to the open shooter.

But when the 26-year-old opted to stay on the perimeter for the likes of Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday to drive to the basket, even though Giannis is often open, defenses rarely close up on him. Known for chucking up three pointers it is easy to see why.

But if his shooting efficiency increases, it will add a different aspect to Bucks’ offensive system. With defenses trying to collapse on a man-mountain like Giannis, the 5-time All-Star can find an easier and more efficient basket for his team.

Even Giannis who is by far the player with the most field goals attempted for the Bucks, might see an increase to his already immaculate numbers. Do you think the FInals MVP will have better shooting splits for the upcoming season?
