Ex-Ferrari F1 Boss Left Teary-Eyed After Watching Mick Schumacher’s Emotional Admission

Michael Schumacher retired from Formula One in 2012. He suffered a fateful accident while skiing with his family, which left him with severe head injuries which left him in a coma for the past six years. In the recently released Netflix documentary, the world got to see some archival footage from his life.

While commenting on the documentary, FIA president and close friend Jean Todt stated it brought tears to his eyes. Todt was the Ferrari General Manager when Schumacher won 5 of his 7 titles with the team.

The statements made by the family are particularly moving: Jean Todt

As reported by bild.de, the Netflix documentary moved the FIA president Todt as he mentioned it is linked to Schumacher’s career and life. He also praised Michael’s wife for sharing the story so beautifully.

“It is a film full of emotions because it is linked to Michael’s fate and his career as a world champion. The accident turned his life upside down,” said Todt.

Mick mentions he wishes to talk about F1 with father Michael Schumacher

Mick Schumacher became a Formula driver at the start of the 2021 season. In the documentary, Mick mentioned that he and his father, Michael, would understand each other differently now.

“I think dad and me, we would understand each other in a different way now. Simply because we speak a similar language, the language of motorsport. And that we could have much more to talk about.

That’s where my head is most of the time. Thinking that would be so cool, that would be it. I would give up everything just for that. Yes.” said the Haas driver.

The documentary did not go into details about his current health. But focused on his career in F1 and his life outside the track with his family.
