Jesy Nelson admits ‘unhealthy’ love for bad boys as she teases debut break-up single Boyz

Jesy Nelson has shared fresh details about her upcoming debut single Boyz, which she said was inspired by a recent break-up and her ‘love for bad boys’.
The pop star is gearing up to make her debut as a solo artist after quitting Little Mix in December.
Her first release will be Boyz, which reportedly samples Diddy’s 2001 classic single Bad Boy 4 Life.
In a new interview with Noctis XXI magazine, Jesy teased according to the Official Charts: ‘I wanted to come back with a song where people are like “OKAY!”.
‘You’re either going to love it or you’re going to hate it and I would rather that than people be like, “Meh, okay…”.
Describing the track as ‘in your face’, Jesy added: ‘I wrote it when I was going through a break-up and it’s me all over. I just love a bad boy. I say it to people all the time… it’s not healthy!’
It’s not known when exactly Jesy wrote the track but she most recently dated Our Girl Sean Sagar for nine months until earlier this year. She was previously in a relationship with Love Island star Chris Hughes for 16 months until they broke up in April 2020.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that Jesy, 30, had reunited with her ex-boyfriend Harry James who she previously began dating in 2017.
According to reports, the lovebirds have rekindled their relationship recently, after spending ‘a lot more time together’.
In fact, The Sun stated they even jetted off to Antigua together, along with the Shout Out To My Ex star’s sister.
‘Antigua was a great way to reconnect with the privacy of no one knowing who they were,’ an insider told the publication.

‘Jesy has had her own battles but with her solo career ready to go and her bond with Harry stronger than ever she’s really in the best place. She can’t wait for what the rest of the year will bring. He is helping her with her career but also there for her privately. They have both matured a lot since they were last together and have grown very close.’
The singer is yet to announce the release date for Boyz but it’s rumoured to be coming at some point over the next few weeks.
